The first placement ever made using an Online Job Tour prototype was for the Boston-Baskin Cancer Group, now the University of Tennessee Cancer Center, in Memphis, using our production to place a GYN-oncologist, one of the most competitive healthcare career openings in America at its time, in the early 2000s. A few dozen physicians had graduated from specialty fellowships and into a market of hundreds of job openings.
Continuing to focus on difficult geographies and specializations was intended, to put Online Job Tour to the challenge and test its effectiveness. Through the decade, we produced Online Job Tours to support organizations that included a US Oncology affiliate in Greenville, South Carolina, a Radiation Oncology practice in Duluth, Minnesota, a Cardiology practice in Gadsden, Alabama, an Oncology practice west of Houston/Katy, and a multi-specialty family/community practice in western New York State.
Online Job Tour productions are also considered cost effective by physician practices even though they don’t have the recruiting volume
of hospitals; we make their recruiting easier, more efficient, and less expensive, no different than for hospital clients.
Landing the rightnew partner is obviously crucial to a physician practice
Physician groups offer different incentives for jobseekers, generally revolving around the opportunity to share in the practice’s success. Practice partners are typically more collegial and open to flexibility in call schedules. We find that physicians in groups are more open to participating in our productions and sharing their testimony, because there is personal incentive in landing the best possible practitioners and new partners.
No different than hospitals, Online Job Tours for our physician practice clients immerse jobseekers into their communities,
featuring recruiting assets from country clubs to local colleges, public and private schools, and we feature mayors,
community leaders and their families, and economic development principals
Among the trending healthy living outdoor activities in America is birding; while the real interview trip may not have time
to visit it due to its remote location and candidates miss this selling point, Online Job Tour®
can feature a visit to a wildlife refuge, a treat and “recruiting asset”
that now all your jobseekers get to “experience”
Physician Practice Recruitment: Companies like US Oncology had a recruiting arm and we worked with a liaison based in Texas. Private physician practices vary greatly; while some practices do not have a recruiting team or recruiter and that function is handled by the practice administrator, other group practices can be very large and have budgets dedicated to Human Resources and hiring. Our point of contact usually depends on the size of the practice.
In other cases, some physician groups have relationships with adjacent hospitals or nearby regional hospital companies, which help them recruit new doctors and support staff. Here, we typically seek to develop a relationship with the organization where Online Job Tour can do the most good.
Online Job Tour profiles a client service area in the mind’s eye and concerns of a physician jobseeker, and tells its story
while we put your best foot forward. We present the unique thumbprint that makes it special and unlike anyplace else,
while candidates get a “holistic understanding” of living there and working with your practice
